AIE Design Studio’s Philosophy

AIE Design Studio is a woman-owned small business design firm with a focus on creating exclusive universal design solutions that are functional for everyone. "Marcia S. Benjamin states: “A space cannot be considered successful unless it allows every person to experience it equally.” AIE Design Studio brings together groups of gifted, passionate designers through Joint Ventures that are recognized for their unique approach to creative universal design. Marcia S. Benjamin, the Principal Designer, acquired special insight into universal design since her first years in architectural & design school. Later on she experienced a greater insight to the importance of addressing universal design for everyone while working with the modernization of several public schools and special education facilities for children in grades K-12. Marcia S. Benjamin noticed that a typical universal design concept often meant the addition of secluded, unattractive accessible ramps, remote designated routes, and isolated access compliant areas for people with disabilities. AIE Design Studio was created to create beautiful universal design spaces for everyone providing people with the chance to experience them similarly.
